OK, things are fine. First the stats….
- Week 16, Tuesday, 6/2/15, 227.8 (conversion to my scale from medi-weightloss……a loss of almost 2 pounds according to my scale, which ran a pound higher than medi’s)
- Week 17, Tuesday, 6/9/15, 228.4…..so a gain of 0.6. Not bad considering I had family in for 2 days, and I at a tiny bit off of plan going to restaurants with no great choices, etc….
- Week 18, Tuesday, 6/16/15, ???….on a short trip to Vegas and did not weigh myself.
Let me pause here and state that I consciously ate off plan on my trip. I decided that after 18 weeks I “deserved” to be a little looser. A spring break in-between semesters kind of thing. So I enjoyed myself.
- Week 19, Tuesday, 6/22/15, 233.4….not bad considering I had a week off, and started eating back on plan on Monday, 6/21 (I didn’t weigh myself because I wanted to have one “good” day under my belt before my weigh in. I thought it would be more like 235, so I was pleasantly surprised by 233.4.
So Week 20 is tomorrow. As of Sunday I weighed 226.0…..so overall I think it was a great decision to relax for one week. After all, that is what the future and maintenance will be about…..enjoying and then reigning it back in.
Another thing I want to state is on Tuesday, 6/9 I met with my family doctor, and we decided I would just stop taking the appetite suppressant (whatever it was called) cold turkey. She said if I didn’t really notice it helping, then it probably wasn’t, and there was no need to taper off.
Well, that week I was hungry as hell, but stayed on plan (just ate more calories), then went on vacation and ate whatever. Now that I’m back on plan this week I’m managing the plan and hunger fine. So I think going off of the appetite suppressant was the right decision, and then sort of shocking my body by eating whatever on vacation actually helped my cause.
So that is the update! I will try to remember to pop on tomorrow and give the official Week 20 numbers.
