So today I start WW, although I may just do a calorie-counting lower-ish carb hybrid.
Basically it’s up in the air.
This morning, because I still have Ideal Protein products to use up, I created a smoothie with what IP would consider illegal items (marked with a frowny face).
Ideal Protein Chocolate Drink, 1 serving
Milk, nonfat, 0.25 cup (for my coffee)
😦 Banana, fresh, 1 medium (7″ to 7-7/8″ long)
😦 Flaxseed, 1 tbsp
😦 Yogurt – Stonyfield Organic Greek Plain, 0.25 cup
😦 PB2 – Chocolate, 1 tbsp
2 stevia packets
363 calories, 49 carbs, 6 fat, 31 protein
So as you can see, I had 49 carbs for breakfast alone…..that used to be what I would have for an entire day. However, it’s mindful, healthy carbs…..so hopefully that will be ok.
In Weight Watchers points this is a 7 point meal. Whatever that means. I get 30 for the day. Whatever that means. This is why I prefer to do a dual-log of sparkpeople and WW to see how the WW points equate to real-world. Because last I checked the point of all of this is so I can sustain my weight loss for life and not have to use IP products, or WW points, or whatever other “fuzzy math” weird way of playing with food.
So my blender didn’t want to work this morning. This took me 20 minutes and believe me, the kitchen looked crazy by the time I was done. I ended up hand-blending my smoothie, and yeah, that worked really well as you can imagine. Banana blobs at the bottom. Sigh. At least it tasted good.
In other news of the crappy I found out my tire was rotted…..so I’m dropping off the car tonight if mom doesn’t do it this afternoon and probably will be new tires all around for that car. Yes, I know, I only need cheap-o not-many-miles tires for the woman who puts on maybe 3k miles per year. Thanks for the reminder. I got this.
Then if all goes well I have to get to the gym tonight for some much-needed stress-relief. For so many reasons I’m crabtacular today, and need to be left alone and tranquilized for my own good, as well as those around me. I rescheduled my one and only meeting today because I just did not have the patience to deal with the mentally challenged and walk them through how to come up with a definition of something.
If I could put a force shield around my cube today that repels all who come within 5 feet that would be ideal.
Oh, and for anyone on the Ideal Protein forum on Sparkpeople…….Nan (Funfit) and I decided I would no longer be co-admin of the forum and would NOT explain what I’m doing to the masses. We both agreed that for newbies we would not want to discourage them, and my stating where I’m at and where my journey has taken me could be a confusing message to anyone just starting off with IP. I will go to my grave shouting from the mountains that IP phase 1 is a miracle, and is why I lost 100+ pounds……it’s just after 10 months I need to take a different path. Here’s why:
- Due to my modifications to be able to exercise I’ve slowed my weight loss down to one pound per week. Therefore…..why be low/no-carb? Why pay the $$?
- I never experienced the low/no-carb “can’t concentrate” fuzziness until the last 3 months (since I’ve been exercising). And I need to concentrate.
- I want to be able to exercise without having to be like a mad scientist figuring down to the minute when I should eat or drink just so I won’t pass out at the damn gym.
- I want to stop eating like a mutant everywhere I go. I will pass up the piece of cake at work….but to have to pass up the fruit plate and the cake is just living in a bizarro world.
